Oil Type

Just a quick one I'm about to drop the oil and in the service CD it mentions 15/40. Does everyone use this or is 10/40 OK.

Castrol GP10w-40 is what BVM put in mine last month. The handbook does list 15w-40 too, both look OK for our temperatures. They did mention that BMW had just recommended a semi-synthetic in addition, but I'm not sure what range that was.

Thanks for the reply Checked with a BMW Tec and 10/40 is fine so that's what she has just had
