Oil Warning Light Not Working

Update: New pressure switch fitted this morning. It was a direct screw in replacement and it came with the required washer. It seems to function as expected with the warning light illuminated with the ignition and extinguished when the engine is started. Ran the engine for 10 minutes and no leaks are apparent but I will keep an eye on it for a while.

Thanks for the help folks.

Regards

Great news! I've always checked old/faulty parts for any numbers or makers details, these days with that new internet thing its so easy! Its often possible to find direct replacements direct from the makers or a supplier that doesn't add 500% to the price. Febi Bilstein make 1000's of parts for the entire automotive sector, as do Bosch (I got the later 4 hole fuel injectors for my R1100RT for about £26 each), and Hella, and so on.
