Not much to say really:D other than it doesn't seem use any and it is clean and transparent 1500 miles after the first service. The twin-cam's oil level would have dropped a little and gone mucky by now.

Strange my twin cam has done 3600 miles since its first service and the oil is still clear and at the same level in the sight glass.

In fact the only level to go down is the tread on the back tyre now at the wear bars and the front is about half worn.

Nice new set of rubber ordered £167 delivered which is not too bad I have gone for the M spec hopefully it will last a few more miles then the originals

My Twin Cam RT has used two litres since its 600 miles service (now on 6300 miles) and the rental in the USA used about a liter in 3300 miles :(

My MU GS used about half that amount and the K never used any between services.

You would have thought on a beautiful day like today you would be riding it not talking about it. :aidan

I have been, had to do some bathroom DIY earlier, was waiting for the sealant to dry, so took a look in here.

Astles put Mobil oil in at the 600 mile service not castrol might be why its not burning any

I would imagine that the water cooling allows the engine to run with much tighter tollerences than the air cooled model. ie less slack in the piston, hence less less chance of oil passing from the sump up into the combustion chamber?

That may well be true but doesn't alleviate the pointlessness of the thread :D

I think I'm starting to understand! Your some kind of LCD/WPC (not sure what the correct term is) troll. Each bite you get foolishly reaffirms your new bike purchase, Some how elevating your low self worth. Consumerism ain't it grand!
Keep up the good work.
