Old GSs.....where are they now

Just looking through the airhead section and feeling all nostalgic! I have a 1200 these days but have such fond memories of my first BMWs and maybe one day when I have the time, the space and the cash I would dearly love another airhead.

In the meantime anyone out there know where my old red R80GS is? The registration was J473 UFL, I bought it new in Cambridge (Andy Lee) in '91. Incidently this was the GS that was written about in Bike magazine in the mid 90's in a used bike article.

Or how about my R100GS PD, L303 JGS??

Both your old bikes are still alive and kicking. The 1000 hasn't been on the road for 6 years though.

How did you do that?? Well, how about L61 BBJ?? It was from the first batch of 1100 GSs imported - I had to sell it due to divorce!

Your old 1100 no longer exists. It's either been written off, scrapped, exported or had it's number changed.
