Don't know why some people buy stuff and don't use it but.....I have an opportunity to buy a pair of old, but like new, GS Gloves likely from 2003? They look very much like the Rallye 2 model, grey fingers, black plastic knuckle piece, elastic velcro closure with BMW and GS embroidered. The color scheme on this pair is gry, black and blue. The only visual difference is that the palms are black instead of the newer grey and there is some blue piping on the tops of the grey fingers.

Has anyone had a pair of these older gloves and could offer an opinion? Are they basically the same as the newer/current GS gloves?

Thanks in advance...

i think the rallye 2 gloves are nicer than the latest ones.

mine are now nearing being worn out, and i waited too long to replace. can't bring myself to fork out for the current offering :(

edit: i'm not sure, but reading your description again, i think you might have the earlier rallye(?) glove?

I used a 2nd hand pair of the older black leather gloves for a 17,000 mile trip last year.
Most comfortable glove I've ever had but had worn the palms completely away by the time I was back:thumb

Brilliant gloves so just buy them:thumb

The new ones are utter shite in comparison. Bought a pair of the new ones (half price) in San Francisco 6 weeks ago and they last 2 feckin days before they started to wear out. After a week, the thumbs had worn through as had most of the material on the palms.

This was just road riding and I won't be buying another pair.

They are still with the bike halfway across the Atlantic and will post the pics when I get them back.

I lost mine a year & have not been able to replace them:( Second hand ones fetch good money & the newer model do not seem as well made.
