Was considering buying Chinese clone but would prefer an old version for a 2007 (2007-2009). 1200 gs. Anyone have one? One vin slot free fine with me. Ten pin enthusiast. Thanks.

Anyone around tomorrow with a 22 mm hex bit socket? Bike in bits in the garden. Amazon supposed to deliver one today but it may or may not arrive by Thursday but I’m away Friday morning and was hoping to get new tyres on tomorrow. Just checking in case anyone is passing Stillorgan and could pop in for a coffee with a 22 mm version of this?!!! I’m home all day. A 22 mm Allen key would do the job too… I’ve not transport to meet anyone. Really not expecting anyone to reply 😂. But if you have one and happen to be passing, I over ordered and will reward you with these :

If you don't have anything lying around (maybe unlikely) get yourself down to toolstation, b and q or similar. M14 bolt should have a 22mm head. Run a M14 nut down it and lock together and use that.

Herself is using the car tomorrow. Ah look it, plans change. The tyres can wait until next week but I was hoping to get the front wheel and mudguard off before I hit this with heat.

It’ll all be waiting for me when I get back from this placeIMG_6406.jpeg

Morning. Nice morning here in Dublin. Pesky seagulls have been hanging around of late. Worse than the magpies if that is possible.

Right. Let’s start with the fork dust covers.

Job done. I do NOT like the look of the fork seals. The left side is particularly bad. Not leaking but I’d say it’s a matter of time. I cleaned up as as bed I could with tips and acf 50. That’s going to worry me now. Will pick some up and do at my leisure. Need some new top plastic covers too these are uber soft. Anyway a few photos.

Time to drop the final drive oil and see about removing the swing arm. First time doing this. I’ve read a pull hammer is needed. I’ve a length of iron bar I’m going to use instead as a drift - new gaitor at the front for comparison.

Ment to put those in the other thread! Could a mod move the part two posts by any chance to the hexhesd section?
