" Automatics can be incredibly inaccurate as well!"
My Auto Seamaster is within 1/2 a minute a week , and thats after service. I've quite a few automatic watches from high end makers, and the only one thats spot on for accuracy is my old Rolex DateJust. Serviced 2 years ago and within, I recon, 2-3 seconds a month, but it wasn't always like that!
Quartz Seamaster does appeal to me for accuracy and also not having to stick it in the winder if I don't want to wear it! They are also a lot cheaper to service with Omega automatic seamasters north of £500 for a service.
GLWS. I would be quite happy to own this if I was after a Seamaster.
My 2254 has just come back from a full service, plus ALL new pins on the bracelet and the extension clasp repaired - Genesis Watchmakers, Duncan has a huge reputation on the horology forums, is even Rolex approved and can get parts from them - anyway, my Seamaster was £450 all in.
