OMG.... It's Ohlins....

£2000 + vat, I guess thats a lot cheaper than replacing with oe.
Looks very smart as well :thumb2

I loves Ohlins kit, i do....
Its all shiny and Gold...:drool:drool
Oh well, time to sell a Kidney to finance this upgrade then.

Did I mention that i Loves Ohlins kit......

Gold on a triple black? Hmm.

Hope there's an optional black version for all the black/grey bikes out there.

Does it effect performance if I order the shocks in black or yellow? Will performance improve if I paint my existing ESA shocks yellow or better yet install an Ohlins sticker?

Remember you get a big chunk of that money back when you resell them. Also be able to service them when they go off so a good choice for high mileage bikes. Always been put off ESA cos I like Ohlins but these could change that.

I suspect they'll transform the ride :bow

I like the fact it can vary the damping in Comfort mode according to speed. I don't like it that much though to buy at that price. Presumably its like Wilburs ESA in that you have to donate the electronics from your OEM set up. Or maybe not taking a closer look at it.

Ohlins.....

If i had been a bit smarter and bought an ex ORS 1200 with the DOHC from Bahnstormers for the very good price that they were selling at, i would defo install these. I dont think i can justify the price when the bike is only 4 months old! But they are sexy.

Nice but i must admit i am not suspension settings sensitive like some riders.
Soft for a cushy cruise ride, hard for track and fast road use. The ESA is a handy gadget but I wouldnt miss it if the bike didnt come with it.

Don't forget Chaps,

If you're going to put this stuff on your bike don't do too much rough stuff because it will break or need its seals replacing and regassing quite frequently. This equipment should come with a Swedish engineer in my experience.

Yup, the BMW warranty won't cover the suspension..... as it will be fitted with Ohlins :D Ohlin's warranty will, of course.

The suspension is not directly linked to the final drive which, when it (inevitably) fails, will be covered by the BMW warranty.

How do I know? Because I had Ohlins and my final drive failed. All mended without a murmur.

Have had a look at this stuff personally Mr W. Its a shame that for all the engineering prowess of this stuff they've gone and fitted a tuppence ha'penny fuse holder and naff ring terminals to get its power from the battery.
