I need to know where I’m going..Could anyone please advise me a solution to mount a Garmin Nav V onto an old but trusty R1150RS..I’m looking for an appropriate mount and charging cradle; the RS cockpit area doesn’t appear to lend itself to this, as did the other GSes having more space, and cross members..🤔

Thanks Chaps.

is your google mojo weak?
https://forums.bmwmoa.org/threads/mounting-a-gps-on-a-r1150rs.90268/ and a link to another thread there

I was going to suggest to search for a https://www.telferizer.com/bmw/ type solution as mentioned in the thread

Thanks for the directions..For what I can see on the other forums (some info inaccessible due to age of post or non membership) it’s not an uncommon problem for this model.

I’m not keen on things over to one side on articulated ball mounts, preferring if possible a nice central cradle on a bar..I don’t have the charger for this Garmin either, which I purchased on here, and previously used on more modern BM’s navigation ready.

The links to suppliers appear to show to fit most models, invariably state 1100/1150 GS/RT avoiding the RS; as does the Migsel which looks like it might fit, but would be an expensive mistake, and I’m good at those.

I find my Google Mojo is strongest in the morning, but having exhausted myself I was hoping possibly to get a reply of - Yes, this is what I did and it works perfectly..I am the eternal optimist..👍

You might have just found out what a niche little band you have joined...😉 Trouble is I remember the RS having fairly high clocks and the screens on the moving bracket...

Ideally I was looking for a simple hollow bar with a thin flat arm either end which could be clamped between the fork tube clamps, or between what’s below those plastic covers atop the forks, if that is even possible?

What is below those black plastic covers?

If it is “just” a threaded hole, then any fitting/machine shop should be able to make something that bolts on.
