bit of a long shot but I was wondering if anybody out there
could offer me some one on one off road training with bike hire
this week in the west yorkshire area?

it's been a few years since I have ridden a dirt bike and am very rusty.
It doesent have to be expert tuition, I just need some help with basic off road cornering techniques.

ill obviously pay for the service.

the reason I need it so soon is I leave for a trip in cambodia
in early january and am intending to do an off road tour while there
and I need to determine whether ill be capable enough.

if anyone can help id be very grateful
Cheers
Nick

or if no one is available in west yorkshire I am willing to travel a little further

Thanks

I was going to suggest this lot:

http://www.parkwood4x4.co.uk/

but their site seems to be aimed at 4x4 these days. Could give them a ring - we've had a few GS days there, and they certainly used to do bike off road training.

Cheers lads I2I dont start there courses until march unfortunatly.
and the parkwood 4x4 wood be perfect if they offered off road bike hire
as I don't have one at the moment :(

Cheers, I've tried CAS, yamaha, Ady smith, i2i, and a heap of other companys
but for one reason or other not having any joy. So if anyone out there
has a bike, can show me a thing or two (basic braking cornering etc) and wants to earn a few quid
let me know

Off road cornering - the slower the better!
Off road braking - try not to! And definitely not in a corner.
Off road obstacles/change of terrain/grade etc - on a closed or closing throttle.

Unless you're racing of course, when the opposite of all the above applies :D

heheh :D
Thanks.

well I managed to get a day down in Doncaster tommorrow Thankfully
with N-gage. phew that was hard work

Small world. I'm from Doncaster and my brother leaves for Cambodia and Thailand middle of January to do some m/cycle touring. Hope you have a bloody good trip and will look forward to seeing the photo's on here on your return:thumb

Cheers Gas, will do :thumb

am there for 2 months and will be visiting Thailand too
I start by doing the extreme rally raid in Cambodia which
is the bit that is making my arse a little weak heheh
then on to circle Vietnam on a Minsk since thats all you
can use there and eventually ending up in thailand for a
massage to ease my aching bones :rob

Training in Donny

I could do with some training myself, and as Im in Scunthorpe, any chance of a phone number of Ngas. (If I dont improve soon, I may give the mucky stuff up !!)
