One ABS light?

Hello,

2000 1150GS with ABS (duh).

A few weeks ago, whilst riding along, the top ABS light would briefly flash. Probably a couple of times in about 500 miles (that I saw anyway). Everything else appeared to work normally though.

Then however the top ABS light has refused to come on at all. The bottom one flashes at the normal speed before riding off and then everything appears to set properly at about 3mph. The ABS seems to work as normal.

It's not the bulb which is as far as I've got so far.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Loose or dirty connection on rear light?

I have just cleaned mine up after the same thing. Loose or dirty connection. Worked fine since. Take off lens, and reflector, clean up connections and check all firmly attached. Then reassemble.

Thats for servo bikes. The bike is 2000 model.

Try swopping the relays around, and see if the abs lights also swop flashing .

yep as steptoe said check your relays.

I had the same prob with my bike. Cant remember exact details but one abs light is powered off a relay (cant remember what powered the other).

This relay wasn't seated properly and caused the problem.

Steve.

You are, as ever, correct. One relay, which looked OK on a cursory glance, wasn't seated properly. Every thing's back to its normal flashy self.

Cheers all.
