I know this man not to be a bigot.
I know him to have a good grasp of history including Ulster history (he grew up in Ulster)
I know he adopted Carson as an act of irony when some other poor soul took exception to an avitar depicting Michael Collins.

A Chara, Gearoid , a man is entitled to his opinion . At this stage of this thread
i dont have to go into it again , i believe i have made my point.
If this man has such a grasp of Irish History , then in gods name why would he have such a contentious avatar. In my mind , the only viable explaination is some form of warped self satisfaction.
"An Act of Irony" I wasnt paying too much attention to that
thread or how it developed , i probably had a job then and a lot less time on my hands . But i remember the person involved removed their Avatar so as it would NOT be a bone of contention to anyone , Could we say a respect thing , for all users.
To that End Gearoid , solely as gesture of respect , to all
that frequent the Ireland section , will he voluntarily remove the Offensive/contentious avatar , and the matter is finished.
I too am an proud Ulster Man , albeit one who , like a game of Cards , knows when to hold em and when to fold them.
Probably because i live here , and "not to know" can have very serious reprocussions .
