Evening gents (and ladies, if we didn't scare you all away).

I was watching the telly and saw a very pretty bit of road. Pretty sure it's Ireland, and from the programme's context, maybe near Wicklow.

Does anyone recognise this? Looks like the kind of place a chap might want to take his bike...!

Yep - it's the R759 running alongside Lough Tay - also called the Guinness Lough. The Viking Series was also filmed there

Up by lough Tay there’s a lot of stuff goin on. Be prepared to be delayed. JJH

Bad Sisters?

Correct.

I really like Sharon Horgan, I think she writes brilliantly and her laugh is contagious.

In an interview a couple of years ago she was asked whether, now she was famous, it was annoying to be recognised in public. She said no it's fine, no-one notices me because everyone's always looking at my brother....

(Shane Horgan, ex Ireland wing, now pundit). :D:D

This is close to where I grew up and also not far from where I now live. If you're ever over this way let me know and I'll gladly show you some of the less trodden roads in the area. There's lots to see in a relatively small area - you just need to know where to find it ;)

Cheers,
Seán.

There is a gap in the wall where you can get a good view down. The Viking stuff was still there when this was taken 1/10/20.
To remember whether this lake is Lough Tay, Lough Dan or Lough Bray, I remember that Tay and Guinness are both essential drinks...

Spent a week there last year touring about in my defender. Stunning place with great people.

Thank you Sean, I will take you up on that when I get my Irish trip together.

If this happens.....get Sean to send me a WhatsApp, I'm not a subscriber anymore so can't get DM's

Would love to meet up for a bit of tomfoolery around my regular stomping ground.

Look up "Glenmalure"

S20 5G sent this......

Hey Keith, drop me a line at some point and we'll pop out for a spin and a coffee. Any excuse for a spin and I'm in!

Just up through there. Sitting here, drinking coffee and eating lunch in laragh. Good place this. Glendelough just down the road and wicklow gap home.

Have eaten in the Wicklow Heather in Laragh a couple of times and can highly recommend it. Great food & staff.

The front of house guy was a laugh. I popped in and said i’d just like a coffee. He said, one irish coffee coming up! Just messing obviously but good vibes.
