Only 390 miles from Ullapool Today

Yesterday I took a mere 254 miles to reach Ullapool, including a slight overshoot to enjoy the open roads North of Ullapool.

But today I came home via Applecross and Lecht Ski Slope. Had a hard job explaining why I was late for tea (you need to check a map).

What are the roads like up there??????????????????????????? Fan - Bxxxxy - Tastic!

Virtually no traffic. Blue skies and sunshine. Stretches where some people probably open their bike right up!

A couple of heavy showers yesterday, but not a drop of rain today. Unbelievable.

Only one brown trouser moment when the back end stepped out on a slow speed bend on some shit on the A93. Almost hurt my leg picking it up

Shook down the Zumo, but that's another story.

And saw 2 or 3 Bee Emm riders along the way. Any of youse yins?

Must do some of them again soon.

Thinking of doing a long weekend raid to Ullapool myself, possibly May anyone identify what the situation is re petrol once out in the sticks also any recommendations on campsites with reasonable facilities, showers etc not looking for luxury but like to be cleanish after a days ride. Any info with regard to the Polly nature reserve would be useful too, is it worth a visit as my partner fancies a look see & it would be a focal point for her if we do the trip.
