If your thinking about buying a GS I think this video might seal the deal for you. The GS is after all the Alpha and Omega of all motorcycles.

Have a look at the linked vids at the bottom of the screen...the next one is about the KLR....which - yup, you guessed it - is 'better' than the GS "Alpha and Omega of the off-road world" that the same muppet was waxing lyrical about minutes before.....
Oh, and he mentions people 'eating their livers' again...FFS.....
Yep and as soon as I get my hands on a KTM Adventure, I'll make a video about how it is the "King of Adventure Bikes" And then I'll B.S. for a minute or two about how every time a 990 Adventure rips past a 1200GS the BMW rider 'Eats his liver!'

Thanks. Youtube tracks where views are coming from, and I noticed a lot coming from this forum, but it didn't show what thread. I love all the comments there, people really getting worked up.
Maybe a moderator can work some magic and merge the two threads? That would be great.

Well,i'll be the first to say hello and welcome to the site.
If you are on ADVrider by any chance,you'll know what "205" means.
And yes,we all think that video is bollox.
That video is an even bigger load of bollox if you watch this one first. Posted a week or so before the GS vid. That's a buddy of mine on the KLR, and me riding the GS. And soon as I can find a guy who will let me film him on his KTM I'll make a goofy video about it too.
And no I don't know what 205 means, enlighten me?

Ding ding ding, we have a winner! I did have a script, and I am full of sh-t. But the funniest part of the video isn't the commentary, it's how people react to it. Some people are fanatically loyal to a certain make of bike, and I was trying to poke fun at them.
Also I feel like BMW's advertising dept. goes a bit over board when they talk about the GS. I wanted to see if I could out do them.

I'll be the 2nd to say hello. Utah spelled backwards is Hatu, the God of ever decreasing circles, of a tribe from Uganda. This God is well known for not enjoying Maize, a staple of Ugandan's diet, and so is mostly always hungry. Listen not to the negative comments, you take your bike off road and obviously enjoy doing so, good on you and well done. Bear in mind though, that the British prefer understatement and sharp wit and it must be said that with that video's commentary you have painted an enormous target on your back. Anyway, enough from me, I have work to do. Very important work that might one day save the world.....goodbyes for the moment.

Nice, quite enjoyed that. A bit shocked at the treatment you're giving those alloys, aren't you worried they'll break? I'd have thought wired would have been the way to go.

Do you really think that when I say the BMW GS can fly that I'm a full of shit? Cause that was the only part I was being honest about. Shows how little you know about motorcycling... and physics.
