Put the tank back on my 97 1100 today after fitting my HID auxilliary lights only to find that it would only run on the LHS cylinder. Changed the sparkplugs around, no difference.
My new wiring has virtually nothing to do with the o/e other than a couple of connections in the headlight shell (pilot and main beam) as the relay actuating feeds, everything else comes direct off the battery.
I did briefly disconnect the left and right top connector block behind the top shock mount while I was investigating possible wiring feeds for the lights- a little corroded- so does any of the engine management/injection wiring go there?
Otherwise, any ideas/checks I can make gratefully received, I don't want to trash anything if I can help it...
