Only for those with clutch issues

It is normal for this bike and the K1600. This is caused by the self-energizing clutch engagement 'feature'. BMW designed this in order to reduce the clutch pull effort.

It was very annoying and took me a long time to get used to. On my bike i think the effect has diminished somewhat and also i am more accustomed to it now. Mine's from march 2013 with 17k on the clock. But still, i would have prefered not to have this function and wouldn't have minded some more effort in pulling the clutch.
 
It's a shame they didn't use the same system as Ducati in the Diavel/Multistrada.
