Presumably they didn't close just because of the Indian part of the business ?
Place I bought mine from was multi franchise.

Revolutions in Perth have taken Royal Enfield from them (and Norton)

Yeah they were multi franchise, maybe that was the problem. Think they had about six; Indian, BSA, Zero, RE, Norton and KTM (I think) possibly Mutt too. Also had a big warehouse used for indoor CBT training, so a lot of assets.

The indoor CBT was a fantastic facility for the scottish weather - it will be missed!

I think the Indian side was doing well, as the only dealer in Scotland they had a cornered market. There are a lot of Indians about in these parts, mostly Scouts and FTRs, but you rarely see any of the big tourers.

Well I paid my £500 deposit to bid in the auction that was literally selling everything within the property. Unfortunately I was outbid on everything. Some items made good money, clothing and helmets etc but when you factor in the VAT and buyers fees it added 35% to the highest bid amount which I think put people off. Some bikes made strong money but factor in the fees and collection costs etc and would not be far of a dealer price anyway. I was bidding on 6 helmets of various sizes in the hope one might fit me, the huge Illuminated Indian sign, a fleece, a display cabinet plus contents and a kids Indian E bike. I got outbid on everything. Shame it has come to an end for this business I hope others don’t follow but there does seem to be a downward trend on bike dealers at the moment. The small independent non franchised dealers seem to be doing the best. Be interesting to see how long it takes to get my deposit back, but it has kept me amused for the last few days.

The Himalayan 450 did well at 4255 (inc costs) with no first service and no V5, so close to the Himalayan currently on Autotrader from a dealer and first service done.

Is there a site you can look at for sale figures on bikes. I would be interested to know how many of my model they have sold this year.

Where did you buy your bike from?
Both my current Indians came from Moorespeed in Bournemouth. I did buy a Roadmaster a few years back from Saltire but have since moved it on for a newer version with the bigger engine.
