Although heavier, wouldn't it look great with the top and front covers on the motor? :drool

I think you're right (but I'd have to see it with and without to make my mind up) :thumb

I got a picture of an ex-works racer last year - he appeared to have sections cut out of his front cover (couldn't see the top due to the fairings):

When it gets really hot removing the covers makes a surprising amount of difference to the engine temp, so no surprise that the racer has vented them a bit.

Rest of the bike looks stunning, just wonder how it all fits together , and if it goes as good as it looks.

The original bikes been my desktop pictures for a while. Beautifully done machine.

I was going to fit a Ducati front end into my RS but decided not to at the last minute. After riding it for a while I wish I had.
 
I see it still has the wobbly old, easy to remove gearbox/change clutch, fleet frame and no attempt to brace it as in the Butler and Henderson racing bikes with their bracing struts and the almost Tonti frames.:augie
I ran airheads in my early twenties and used to hammer them. I was also in the 'Club' so went to all the demo dos (mm.. free grub and booze) and we leathered the bikes as well. RSs were nice I managed to get the first G/S in Glasgow dirty on a building site and remember everyone said the R100T (sorry Maverick) had an evil weave...Although most were comfy and capable with decent manners in corners, when you knew how to ride them, none had race handling...Oh, I ran an RD350B on TT100s before my 75/6 and 90/6 (with 90s bits from my pals defunct despatch bike).
 
My point exactly (seen that one before)..getting fed up of the hideous badly proportioned cafe 'racer' lash ups that seem to be the current fad especially on ADVrider. Peeps will take the piss out of OCC but I don't see the difference between them and Ritmo, both make stupid, all but unridable, follies.

Sure there are probably a lot of things that Ritmo could have done differently / arguably better but I think it's a stretch to compare the bike above to an extreme 'art' chopper.
"Lash up"? - we have different standards - there's a lot of thoughtful engineering in that bike.
"Unridable"? - when they give me a go, I'll let you know ;)
 
Yes, it has a lot of pretty engineering and machine work that I can appreciate, I didn't say the Ritmo was a lash up. Unridable... you perhaps are not at the age where years of labour, corpulence, sports and bike injuries would render it in the same league as a short range 'bar hopping' chop. This company do make pukka racers so to sell one without the full modifications surely that takes it into the realm of 'art' cafe for the wealthy toy buyer. Beware of airhead tinted spectacles:D
