Fourth week in a row enjoying the roads of the North East, this time the plan was to meet JB this morning and have a look at the north Pennines.

First I need to wash the bike in case I contaminate JB's with any ..... grubbiness:eek:

Take Jake for a wander...

And we're ready

Thee M62 services were as uninspiring as ever

By the time I've blasted on the motorway across country, I intend to head through Thirsk and over the N Yorkshire moors, but by chance meet JB in town on his Xcountry.

He takes my GS and I take this poxy, weedy little excuse for a bike........feck me it's good, it has no right to be so much fun," like 250 on steroids" I said:clap
Looks like Ange's next bike:thumb

So, alone again a very fast (for me) blast across the moors with only the weight of my Corbin stopping the GS from going into orbit on the bumps:eek

It's dark when I finally arrive .... she's waiting:blast

Get the bike and ride the 50 miles down to Johnny's ...he lives in a tiny white shed.

Some more brilliant roads as we head north through the Dales, with some history lessons along the way:thumb

Dodgy overtakes, braking deep into corners, scrubbing the edge off my tyres, an air born GS is all par for the course when I try to keep up with JB on these roads, phew it's lunch time.

So I'm taken to a butch biker cafe he knows

Brilliant bleak roads and it was chilly up here too

The sun almost came out

We stopped at Hartshead (??) cafe for a last brew before dropping down and going our separate ways.

Great days riding, yet again Tim

I'm getting used to this:D

Fab, open and deserted roads in the North Pennines - it's bleaker up there and more honest, none of your Yorkshire Dales 'pretty'

Some of the roads are like the TT, open and you can see for miles, up hill and down dale, whilst 'flick-flacking' from one side to the other, between the stone walls and fences

Great roads, where you can just ride the torque of the big GSA, revving it..... is pointless with only a weedy poxy 85hp on tap

Oh, how we yearned for a WC with 125hp...............:D

Crap ride report.

Where's the picture of the food you consumed and a graph showing the elevation change plus gps route file ????

:aidan

Good to see you on a proper bike again Tim, instead of that KTM thing, heard a rumour its up for sale:blast

Looks like you had another crackin day, you jammy pair:thumb
