I'm looking for open face helmets for wife and I for the newly arriving Bonneville.

Can anyone rank these manufacturers in order of quality, I know fit is most important but I'd like an idea of who's worth investigating further :-

Roof
Caberg
Nolan
Bultaco.

I'll also look at Shoei and Davida bit I think it's a given that they're top notch.

TIA
Rich

Davida Jet beautifully made quiet, and stunning finish, just get the sizing right.
Pals girlfriend has an open faced Shoe, in white , looks great.

One thing you will find with an open face is the fact you engage with other road users. You smile, they smile, you stare a cars at junctions they respond. Its a refreshing change from the anonymity of a full face. But blo...y rain hurts like needles!

I've recently got the new Shoei JO open face which is the best I have found yet, I have a lovely Davida but they are a bit too tight for my head and no room holes for ears!

I'm considering one of those (Shoei JO)—what colour did you get?

Highly recommend the Nolan N40. Light, adjustable peak and very clear optics. Not expensive either.

I recently bought a Momo like this to use on my scoot. Not that quiet but great in hot weather . Big visor and drop down sun visor

+1 for the Nolan N40 - light, really comfortable, visor, sun 'goggles', quiet, and the Nolan bluetooth works well

I recently bought a nolan N44 multi helment so you can use it as both full face or open. I like it and was OK for a long trip to Devon a few weeks back.

Shoei RJ Platinum R

i was on the search last Year for a Shoei open face helmet to go with my BSA B40 as i have two Shoei full face, they are the helmet for us who wear glasses. The RJ Platinum R was reduced(£179.00 Sportsbikeshop) as the new Shoei open face appeared, very happy with it, i use a
Bob Heath Visor on it for BSA use but as i have a Givi Airflow screen on my GS i use the open face without the Visor. :beerjug:

I have a Bultaco - seems really well made and it's very comfortable with a good locking mechanism.

Can't say I've tested it 'down the road'.

Another plus for half face helmets, it's surprising how much wider your field of vision can be.

I have a duchini. Cost me £30 at brightona and it's the closest I'll get being English....😃

wicked in summer and no poncy beard required....

I bought the Roof Desmo as an alternative summer lid to my Tour X4. Really like it, although the sizing is a bit odd so you do need to try them. I looked at the Boxer too, but prefer the one handed operation that the Desmo has.

i fancy a piss pot, but will probably wait until the sales are on. I fancy the Davida Helmet Jet Black & White Check but haven't tried one on.

Another vote for the Bell Custom 500. Very comfy & surprisingly quiet. Available in many different colours and finishes and ultra cool bubble visors are available to fit, or go for the Steve McQueen look and fit a shorty peak :)

Here we have them modelled in mean and moody matte black and super slick matte metal flake orange.................. :D
