open face lid

I realy wanted a Davida but the largest size was too small im normaly a 60-61but they seem to be sized small. I asked the dealer and he said yes they are sized small? But what about all the fat headed Bikers as there are many off us!

There's more than one style and shell size, shop around :thumb

I use a Givi x-1, and when it's knackered, I will get another one (if available ) without hesitation :thumb2

Really comfortable, fitting on the larger side for each given size, takes full autocom mic for intercom easily and because it's adaptable, its a proper all-year round all -weather lid :thumb2

The best bit is the price.....around £200 delivered.

I had to order one blind, as nobody I could find stock them, but I'm very glad i did :clap

PS although the opening frame of the vid below shows it with a chinguard, watch it and see ;)

I too thought they were on the small side but they are like a pair of jeans or leather shoes or leather gloves in that they do 'give' a little over the first few times of wearing them. I have the Classic Jet and thought it was too tight but used it for shorter journeys and soon found it became more and more comfortable.

Remember, reporductions of older type helmets made in the original way will not behave like a modern, synthetic lined helmet.

Being a baldy, in summer i also use a cotton helmet liner to soak up the sweat as the leather lining doesn't absorb it. I got a USAF flying helmet liner from a buddy on a local base. But I also don't suffer from hat hair !

I had a Davida for years, great quality but found it too hot around the Med.

Got one of these now and fitted an Arai peak for that authentic look:),
excellent helmet:thumb

Thanks for all the suggestions.
It just goes to show what a large choice we have on line compared to a shop. It's a problem with helmets - best to try before you buy!!

The insurance money is on the way so will look in earnest at the w/e
Cheers

Arai

I wasn't really looking at Arai, because of the price, but saw a Ram 2 on offer at £160, tried it and it was so light and comfortable and such a bargain that I bought it.
It's a little bit noisier than my system 5 (in jet mode) and I'll have to get re-used to d-ring fastening after a lot of years but at the moment I'm happy with my purchase.
Off to look at jackets.
Thanks for all the imput.

Just been out for a few hours.
Visibility is amazing and the noise lessened when I closed all the vents.
Very light and comfortable and I can take it on and off with my i-pod earphones in without a problem.
Overall very pleased :D
