Dammed if I know I'm now using a new pc with windows 7 I cant get it to open links in pages in forums in this site or others.
I can open links outside the forums like Nippy Normans or computor help top of this page but as soon as I'm in a thread I cant open a link in a thread any ideas I've buggered about with pop ups etc but no good yet doing my head in here .
cheers R.R.

I don't use IE, preferring Firefox myself, but doesn't new versions of IE feature tab browsing like FF? If you right click on a link within a thread is there an option to select an "open in new tab"? That might do the trick for you. :nenau

If I right click & go for open in new tab it just says connecting in the brouser bit but mnothing opens .I've tried turning off Bullguard pop ups turned off none of the links will open in the link page in usefull links above here but anything out side of a thread such as this will open. Its any forum not just this site

Any more ideas just done a system restore & lost most of my stuff so up & running again still wont open links on any forums I go on only the main links outside the threads.
Turned off pop ups turned off antivirus etc. This is spolining my xmas .

cheers again

a slight developement if I right click & copy then paste the link in the brouser it works ??????????

Disc clean-up then delete cookies.

Dunno why, but works on my steam driven HP.

Just a thought: Mine has different modes and sometimes if I accidently press certain key combo's it does weird stuff.

Its IE8

I have converted to Win7 and had the same issue, IE8 (32bit) wouldn't open links, IE8 (64bit) would but not flash images. Looked at Firefox and Safari as alternatives both of which work perfectly and have on settled on Safari.

Safari is an alternative internet browser to Internet Explorer 8 (IE8), to find Safari go to Apple.com - Downloads.

Latest update mate.

Thanks to your advice and after about 2 hours of downloading mapsource updates which kept having an error come up before I have now got my garman sorted so it will now open all my previous routes which were made in the later version.
so all in all a happy bunny

Cheers again
