Operation Saddo - Sod this I'm off again..........

Anyway, sadly Miss Spanner goes home and her friend takes over......

Now there comes a point when a line is drawn......

I wolf my brew down and leg it.

Anyway, having survived that sight, it’s east towards the Biarritz area.

On a stop I find out that the militant Frenchies are having a strike.

I guess whining about nothing as usual, anyway my ferry is cancelled tomorrow.

Gits.

I call the ferrry company and fair play I’m transferred free of charge to the Caen ferry, 30 of the 60 quid is returned so I’m impressed with their service.

I’m tired now so look to hunker down in Bayonne.

Quick look at map, tomorrow ferry is at 2300, plenty of time but it’s going to be a hell of a long day.

Eat and sleep, I want to hit the road for 0700 tomorrow, in case of having dramas with the big strike thing.........

Day 11

Up and at it, I roll at 0700.

Bone dry again so settle in for a very long day in the saddle....

The Frenchies not wanting to work more that 20 hours a month are out in force.......

I’m not really in the mood for militant leftie arseholes to get in my way.

It doesn’t take long.........

This thread now needs a serious warning on it!

Imagine getting the sack for that...

Actually that’s a good point.

Can a mod delete that pic, if possible. No intention of getting people in the crap ....

First 300 miles is humdrum then when I pull into Poitier for a brew the air is distinctly damp.

The roads are bone dry so I’m lucky, but I can smell fog........

Sure enough the 100 miles or so after this is in varying degrees of fog.

300m down to say 20 at worst.

It’s deeply unpleasant especially as darkness falls.

It’s hard to read the temperature on the bike so I rely on the occasional pharmacy sign.

This unpleasantness lasts until the point where the peage stops just south of Caen.

As I wobble down the motorway ramp it clears and jumps to 8 deg.

Easily the most unpleasant part of the trip.......

Reach the port in good time.

A long hot coffee required ....

Obviously the great gods of good taste have taken Karmic fog retributions for the appalling taste droopy titted (digitally interfered with) old crone whose picture you posted earlier, without any concern for the frisson of excitement that might cause amongst your fellow niche-perverts! You are condemned to a fiery furnace with only Satan's own pricking to keep you company.

It’s art.

I don’t get it either, but there again my idea of sophistication is emptying the sink before I go for a piss, so I’m not the best to ask :)

So, crash out on ferry in fancy new doss bag.

It’s practically empty so I have a good old sort out and spread my kit over about 7 reclining seats :)

If I can get home tomorrow without too much foul weather I’ll have been extraordinarily lucky.......

Would sir like his own deck ???

Credit to the port.

Sheltered bay for bikes in queue. Nice staff.

I’m anticipating the usual cake and arse party in the UK......
