ive a standard gs1150 bmw like to upgrade the springs front and rear to hyperpro springs l like to ask fellow riders are they firmer and are they worth it ?

Very good on my 1100. They are progressive rate springs so give a smoother ride and are a big improvement with 2 up.

Worth is an individual thing. Firmer / less firm will depend on what spring rate you ask them for.

Matt, our ex-mod, did much pondering on this subject. You do worse than pick his brains.

I recently sent my shocks to ABE for a refurb and asked them if it was worth changing to the Hyperpro springs, their advice was that the original is perfectly fine for normal use but use the Hyperpro if I was going to be loaded up for a big adventure. So, as always, different is not always better.

Are we not ALWAYS loaded up for a big Adventure?

I like them on my 1150GSA, had them fitted last year at the same time as a shock refurbish before a 2 up camping trip to Romania, really glad I had them done as the roads were feckin atrocious but the bike and suspension coped perfectly well :thumb2

Fitted them to my 1150 last year, as part of a refurb of the whole bike, at the same time as having the shocks serviced

The bike handles far better now and stands a little higher

Well worth doing in my book

FWIW I bought my Hyperpro front and rear shocks from Matt. I guess he plumped for them after his research. He had them on his 1100 and was impressed I believe. He took them off only to sell bike (lucky me). No brained.
