Just something ive been thinking about maybe Sale or swap of my 44k 2009 bmw r1200rt mu (model update) this means it had a lot of the next gen equipment so this has:
ESA Suspension front and rear (just been fully rebuilt with motors serviced costing around £600 with reciept) note that most of these bikes unless they have had this done may not be working correctly.change between comfort,normal and sport settings.
Electronic pre load adjustment rear shock.
This model has traction control and abs (not the servo type on previos models)
Cruise control
Heated grips
Heated rider and passenger seats
Gel comfort seat (an standard)
Near new michilen road gt 6 tyres.
Full bmw luggage top box an panniers with matching locks to ignition key (one does all so useful)
Electronic screen
Full factory bmw alarm/imobilizer system
Additional upgrades ive added:
Touring windscreen cost worth every penny standard screen avalible to but rubbish by comparrison.
MFW adjustable foot pegs, lower by 30mm (but can be adjusted to other heights) makes leg angle so much more comfy standard pegs also.
Additional mirrors i had to search long an hard for these as only the k1200rs is a direct fit, they are fantastic unfortunatly the standard mirrors on an rt are not great and you really have to take your eyes off the road to see anything in them.
Motrad tank bag that clips direct to tank bracket.
Bar riser kit.
Braided brake lines.
Grip puppies.
Migsel mount for sat navs (currenty fits my garmin zumo) the zumo mount will be removed but the bracket will remain for someone to fit there own sat nav to.
The bike is fantastic everything works, it is 16 years old so there will be the odd mark here and there but nothing that detracts from the overall look of the bike. Mechanically everything works as should if i had to go round europe tomorrow id jump on without a worry.
Im not to bothered about selling but more interested in what someone may have to swap,money either way near to the value, i have a bmw r1100gs and a harley i tend to take out the gs a lot as i like to go down all the lanes, the rt i use on the bigger faster roads, handling is incredible for the type of bike it is but the gs an rt are such similer bikes i fancy something different like a triumph street triple or ktm duke to just blast about on now and then something along those lines, ive had my hip replaced so sports bikes are out im afraid but yeah drop me a message try me or if someone does want to buy it drop me a message happy for anyone to come look an have a garage chat with a cuppa. If i were to sell looking for £3700.00 i think its fair due to additional kit and the fully restored suspension which was around £600 with reciept had new springs also for the sake of it while being done.
