Opps Broke my key- Help

Had a blonde moment and snapped my plastic spare key in the bloody seat lock,

managed to get it out , Phew

Does any one know where i can get or have a spare Blank proper key and not the poxy plastic one.

I guess it's a dealer only item which will then have to be cut.. I can imagine the cost

I saw some blanks on ebay and figured i could just get one of those and then get it cut to match my original. any ideas.

I think that it's only about £25 for a new one from the dealers, and they should be able to cut you one from the code that you got with the bike.

Some proper locksmiths might be able to do it, but I doubt that they are going to be able to do you one with a chip in as cheap as BMW do (I was quoted £65 for a spare Audi Key recently, which is pretty similar to the BMW one)

Your going to have to go to BMW, oh and the plastic key is an emergency ignition key

£15 for new keys. Main dealer only. Dealer orders them from BMW and arrive in a couple of days.

When you go along to the dealer to order the key(s) take your V5 and they're not allowed to post the keys, so you'll have to collect them.
