opps.........

I like the way the bike warns you there's a problem, which you then ignore, so it warns you a little more and you ignore it again so it goes "Fuck YOU" and turns the lights off just as if it knew, it was being operated at night :D

What were the continuously flashing Orange/Red lights on the right handlebar? Had Teapot left something continuously switched on while he was at the Cashpoint?

Thats exactly what I thought. How long did he leave it all on ?
The flashing light , I think is a remote for the camera ?

Thats his remote camera recording button. Mine flash red as well.

- Low Voltage Warning
- Bike won't start
- ABS Failure
- Suspension Failure
- Traction Control Failure
- TFT Turns off
- Headlights turn off

30 seconds later after NOTHING is working.... he stops :D

Must have been tired :D

Why not trim off some of the time posting the same old repetitive crap on brexit? :D

Happy viewing

No charge

I dont have myself down as repetitive, I merely like to bait the full of shit brigade.
But do keep viewing, it's nice to have a fan/stalker.:thumb2

I suppose it has highlighted one aspect to the new TFT Screen..... DONT RELY ON IT.

If it fails, which it will, you lose everything...

- Speedo and revs
- SAT NAV and Directions
- Engine Warnings
- All mode changes
- Fuel Level and Range
- Gear selection and Revs
- Outside temp
- Tyre Pressures and alerts
- Time stamp
- Phone connectivity

Fookin everything :D

What does the TFT screen have to do with a failed battery?

Opps nothing...it was a failed battery and hardly a problem with the bike itself

I don't see it that way.

I think it is a fundamental problem with the bike.

If you can bump start your bike, unless the battery is on fire, you should be able to ride that bike onwards.... with no loss of power, dashboard, or lights.

BUT... to kill every feature on the bike and bring you to a DEAD STOP.

Thats a fundamental problem on an Adventure Bike... period.

I even posted on that thread.....
SO,Let me get this straight ......
The video wasn't posted ?

:tosser
Now now knobhead, if you think posting a dull video of 30 minutes of some fool getting stuck in the dark with a dead bike makes you clever, more power to you. :blast

I doubt there are many modern bikes that could keep going with a battery that has dropped a cell.

What does the TFT screen have to do with a failed battery?

I'm highlighting an issue here, with the TFT Screen. Seperate to the battery issue.

If a TFT Screen fails (whatever the reason).. you lose all your info, even though all the sensors and ECU are working fine. You can't see anything.

How often does an analogue dashboard fail where you lose EVERYTHING? I hardly ever hear of this. Some parts might fail, but not EVERYTHING...

Do you actually know you don't lose everything on the analogue screen? While the dials appear analogue, it's all driven electrically on the GS anyway.

Clever ?
I just posted a 1250 GS video in a 1250 GS forum, that like minded GS fans might like / be interested in ?
Your comment "Yawn" says a lot about you ...... Matty:D

Yes I know that, but a single screen failure is a complete blackout on TFT. Even if power is still applied and all sensors reporting data to it.

On an analogue screen you might just lose the rev counter, or speedo, or LCD screen, or a warning lamp.....

NOT EVERYTHING all at once !!
