optimate 4 v. OE battery

My Optimate has recently charged my car battery after the Mrs flattened it by leaving the hazards flashing.
The battery is clearly on its last legs but the Optimate has kept it going for now.
On a bike just connect the Optimate lead directly to the battery terminals. If the battery is sulphated, disconnect the earth side main battery cable.

As a point of interest my 04 Fazer 1000 has always been on an Optimate 2 for the last 11 years and still has its original battery, 20k miles done. Starts on the button first time every time!!

Having had problems with both Acumen and Optimate I'd suggest a Yuasa charger, they should know a few things about batteries, right? ;) They are also cheaper. :) I've rigged up a permanently displaying voltmeter to the charger output which enables a regular quick glance to see it's doing it's job and it works fine. I leave it attached whenever I'm not riding it.
