Optimate Lead - Less is more

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here but doesn't that make the Optimate USB accessory kind of pointless? I mean, if it can't charge a phone what can it charge?

It can charge but very slowly and not top up an Iphone

Camera, older phones not smart phones, cheer up it look like a proper gadget though
