Optimate query

Hi Folks!! Just a query about the Optimate, and my 1150 GS. Had the bike just over a year now, and in that time I've had two batteries fitted (fortunately whilst under BWM warranty). I have used an Optimate from day 1 of ownership, but over the last few weeks I've noticed that the Optimate only shows the amber "Charging" light, and not the usual green "Charged" (or whatever it's called) light. Does anyone have any suggestions as to why it has started to do this please? Could there be some sort of electrical fault on the bike that's potentially the cause of all the problems with the duff batteries / Optimate? At the time of the last battery swap, I asked the dealer if they would check the sidestand switch as I thought that could have been "iffy", but they said that the computer didn't show any problems there, (didn't have much confidence in their answer to that one to be honest). Any suggestions please?

I had this problem sometime ago, I tried the optimate on another battery (my car) and it did the same, charged all the time.

I sent it back to my Optimate supplier (Crossan motorcycles) and they sent me a replacement.

So far the problem has not returned.
