Hi just going to re wire the tamiya connector on my optimate could someone do me a favour and let me know which pole is positive.

Convention in the radio control world says that the square pole is positive but i'm sure on my optimate that the half sq half round pole was the positive and the square pole was negative. if anyone could check on theres for me it would be appreciated, many thanks.

Hi, sorry for the late reply. Just been an had a look at mine, half round is positive, square pole is negative. Negative side of cable has faint white writing along it. Hope that helps.
