Ok had first flat battery a couple of weeks back after bike not used for a week.
A bit miffed, bought optimate, recharged.
Thursay morning - bike not used since Tues. Battery flat. Jump started off car

Wednesday morning bike starts hurrah!

as get false neutral at lights. Bike won;t start.
Go home, get car, drive to bike, ride home, walk to car, drive home, faff about....
repeat ad infinitum.
Every time I've used my bike it either won't start or then won't start 40 minutes later when I've filled it up.
Very miffed. I'm pretty sure the problem is my stop-start journey 10 miles in a 30 (ish) limit with 50 sets of lights and the electrickery drain caused by the servo brakes. Still, my CB500 never fecked me about. Neither did my R850.
I daren't use the heated grips and the only extra leccy is the optimate charging leads.
Heavy duty battery on order. Carry jump leads everywhere. Jumped off a cabbie a couple of days back. (He started the meter running, tight old git....)
Fully charged last night on optimate. Started ok this morning....
Question: What riding to you have to do to get the alt. Charging the battery?
I'm getting very, very, very bored.
