we have ordered a fully loaded WC R1200RT LE, circa £17K expecting delivery March. Cash all the way, no part ex. Pidcocks, Nottm.

Realistically what would you be happy with for a serious freebie?

ENGINE GUARDS, PANNIER LINER BAGS, BMW NAV V, AKRAPOVIC SILENCER, TOP BOX,

ALL OF THE ABOVE??

Just interested to see what other dealers have offered/ closed the deal with?

Let the bollox commence:eek:

If you manage to get all of the above then I need you to negotiate my next bike purchase;) Got to be around £2 k at least for that lot.

On a serious note you might get Nav V in with the deal as that seems to be fairly commonplace these days ,depends how generous the dealer is feeling.

Surely the best negotiation of freebies is before ordering. Dealer has no real reason to sweeten your order once you've made it.

Surely the most imprtant thing is how little money you can give them afterwards

Since I presume you are going to get them to service it, make sure they throw in the first couple of "services" at no extra cost.

7-10% on the bike, and 15-30% on the accessories, depending on what they are. It's probably too late to get the discount on the bike, so I'd go for the Akra and engine guards.:thumb

In order of usefulness....nav5, top box, liner bags, engine guards, akropovic but I'll be very surprised if you get anything, in which case go for the fall-back plan of some free servicing which costs the dealer virtually nothing to implement.

Remember that you can get decent after market box bags from ebay at relatively low prices,or used ones from here.

Good luck, and let us know how you get on.

you can bet the dealer will call you tomorrow am ….DONT CALL THEM…..let them sweat ….id ask for a service plan for depending on how long you keep the bike..id defo want the first service free and the second one at half price , id also ask for the nav , if you get those two in with the deal you have done well .

I'd go for paying full market price, with a crappy trade in price on your previous BMW a, long wait in the showroom whilst the sales people ignore you, a complete lack of interests by the staff and generally being looked down on by all in the dealership who possess an even worse mentality that doctors surgery receptionists, and then a very long lead time, during which they fail to return your calls, the lead time is elastic despite their just in time approach, oh no, wait, BMW dealerships aren't like then, especially car dealers.

I got a Topbox half price on my new RT deal, but that was some years back. So half price accessories maybe doable.

Try a few dealers to get your best deal, don't get all giddy!

If you get that deal on the new box you have got a great deal, as the new style box costs around about £1000.00 if you get it painted.

£1000 for a painted plastic box?

Fecking madness...

Have you lot on RT's, lost your marbles?

BMW are trousering you, with that little one:blast

You only pay it if you want to, anyway, aren't GS panniers quite costly? you get them in with a new RT

Anyway, i'd never buy a new BMW anything now, call me somewhat 'disillusioned' if you like...

They certainly get you back though, with £1000 for a topbox

How can they justify £1000 for a topbox, I dunno :blast
