It's no good, I'm just a tart. I did set out looking for a good second-hand 650 twin to replace the one I wish I'd never sold so my intentions were wholly sensible. Nothing came up though, not helped by my need for factory lowered and my distaste for a resprayed orange 2009 model. A blank drawn after a whole three weeks what else could I do? So the new F700 is ordered from CW in Dorchester and, yes, I did get a good deal as I had no trade-in:bounce1. Now is the really hard bit - waiting for it to arrive which will be the last week in September I'm told...... BMW I want it NOW!!!!!

I dont blame you. I might have ordered one myself, had I not fallen in love with the yellow and black F650 SE .
 
Would you please define " a good deal" - all
I achieved (on my new f650se) was a free vario top box ?

you cant beat that collecting new bike experience, no worries about how the previous owner treated it. is only money , what else would you have spent it on.

Any news on when she'll arrive?

A couple of tips, I fitted a fender extender and the 1200 handguards (they are cheaper and more effective).

Did you buy with all the bells and whistles (in particular ESA)?
 
It's coming the last week in September but may be the week before with any luck. No, no ESA, can't imagine ever using it. I've got what I consider essential - heated grips, OBC, pannier rails and panniers. I'm going to put Barkbuster brushguards on and the Touratech crash bars. :)
 
I liked the grey as well but as I always have grey decided to let my flamboyant side loose and went for the red instead. Like you I don't need the ESA so had the comfort pack and I'll move my bmw comfort seat over from my 650gs as it's nearly new. Delivery time is the same as yours and I'm off to Wollaston on Saturday to see their demo bike (also red) and hopefully get a test ride.
 
I saw an f700gs up close today and I thought it was totally superb.

It was red, looked wonderful and all the changes seemed to make sense.

They've made a great bike even better !
