Original Electronic Beancan info

Does anyone have, or know of, details of how to dismantle
and clean the beancans?
I have managed to get a used & supposedly working one off eBay,
and want to clean up the bob- weights, and use as a spare/replacement
on my PD.
An exploded diagram would be most helpful......I know how to
remove the oval inspection panel and grope around to clean the
bob-weights,(watched Rob Farmer at work), but was hoping there might be a way to dismantle to do the cleaning job?
Anyone have a link to Bosch etc?

I think all of these are available on the Snobum site, but his website is a bit messy to wade through, with lots of photos of different bikes etc. Loads of info, but a bit of a nightmare to negotiate !

Mendoje - out of interest, any problems whilst taking things apart ? I see you marked everything with blue pen -any mishaps ?......don't be shy, we're all gentlemen here on the Airhead section......

Roger, actually these are not my photos either, I downloaded them as well, they are the accompanying pics to the first link I posted. I had no trouble at all taking the can apart or reassembling. The can was never intended to be serviced, so everything is a little tight, so it will take some "wiggling" to disassemble. Also, you might find the foam gasket under the lid has deteriorated. Most everywhere I read says it's not needed (the lid is pressed on), so I just cleaned out the residue. Index everything with a pen as shown, so it goes back together correctly. Oh, one last thing, the connector (first picture). If you've never disconnected one before, its a bitch. You'll need to first release the spring clip (wire thingy) with a small screwdriver.

All was going so well, and all came apart easily
until it came to removing the pin that holds
the offset cog at the rear of the can.
Tried for quite a while with drift and hammer,
with can in a big vice- pin refused to budge,
so rather than risk damage, I gave up.
However, I have managed to clean and grease via the
oval inspection window, so will see if it works
when I swap if for "sticky" Beancan in a few days.
I'll see if I can dismantle that one too!

Roger, did you support the cogs as shown in the picture? It takes three hands, I know! But the real trick is to use a BIG hammer, the exact right size drift, and dont be shy on the first hit.
