Original Tourance v's Conti Trail Attack

Looking to get some new rubber on my 1100GS and fancied Trail Attacks this time. But can get the old style Tourances for £30 more fitted.

Any views?

for sure would be the tourances for me just a personal thing bought a cbr many years ago came with continentals and they were utter shite never been able to get my head round continentals since

I've gone from tourances to distanzias and now trail attacks, and for me the ta's are brilliant.

Utter bollocks from the thread above, old Conti road tyres and the ta's are worlds apart,just silly to compare.

Ok, so wrong bike, wrong type of bike, but ill agree, old model contis were shite

The op was asking about current model current spec tyres relating to his GS, so comments about anything else are pointless.

My preference is for Contis as they don't 'square off' as badly as Tourances towards the end of their life. They aren't quite as good on the loose stuff though, IMO.

Had TA's on my 1150 and loved them , put a pair on my 1200 and the handling was shocking.
Conti had a bad batch of front Trail Attack 1's which would not balance up, I went to Dunlop TR91's which are imho much better than Tourance , Tourance EXp's and the TA's

Pretty good at £194 for a pair fitted to loose wheels.
