Great report and the rest of your blog. I suppose we are all individuals but it was sad to read of those on the ferry with the other RT that chose not to speak to you. Their lose I am sure.

Just in case you don't know the magistrates or your equivalent can really be over the top when it comes to speeding as someone I know got caught in the Highlands and after receiving a heavy fine and a years ban has been told that he will have to retake his bike and car tests again. So be careful out there.

Thanks, like I said I am going to try and keep the blog thing going. It's as much for me as anything else, but it's nice to see some people appreciating it!

As for the speed, I chat back and forth with a guy on ADVrider, he and his mate got a serious pumping at the hands of the legal system for speeding. I keep my eyes peeled all the time and I definately don't ride as fast as I used to...maybe I am just getting old though!

That was a great read and the pictures are cracking.

I am thinking about the Hebrides and a Calmac fest next August (Oban - Mull - Skye - Harris - Uists - Barra - Oban) and this has got me in the mood already!
