Ormas, near Reinosa, 90 mins from Santander

Pousada Ormas has been recommended to me twice this year. Looks to be in a lovely, secluded location in a tiny hamlet. Nice non motorway route over 52 miles, from Santander, taking in the Puerto de Palombera https://maps.app.goo.gl/9iC3sHCZHyNci3JS9

There is even one of those animal sculptures to mount

The roads surrounding this hotel are fabulous in all directions.

Stayed here last month as my first 2 nights after arriving from Santander. Very remote, nothing else in the hamlet apart from farms and a derelict church.
I used this route to get there including a ride up to the El Chivo mirador
