Big off yesterday on the way to the Hograost. Overtaking landy and trailer who decided to turn right up a gravel track, without indicating  Took me right out, dagged me along the road 30 meters. Knocked clean out, Dickieboy thought I was a gonner :(
Police came, no brake light offside and just didn't look. I shouldn't of gone to overtake I suppose, but checked the left one was clear and the right gravel track, so I thought it would be fine, seeing as I was out anyway with HIDs on, but no :comfort
Chipped bone in my right ankle, Have pot on :P Right Ribs and right wristy :comfort
Mel came and picked me up, and the boys rode the bike on to the Hogroast, Just an engine bar, indjamactors and plastics by all accounts. Rides like new :augie
Slimbo doing the repatration duties :bow:bow See, all that time in the AA, once a recovery man always a recovery :bow :D :bow

Flowers and choccies are welcome :D

My first rule of overtaking

As a biker for 45 years, my first rule when overtaking is:
If there is an entrance of any kind on the right hand side, do not overtake.

Myke

heres the carnage. Cheers to do the guys for getting the bike to the Hograost and for finding my un-damged breakie and checking it was safe to eat, sorry the kettle was damaged boys, thats life eh :thumb2
Not my sandles but even the cooker survived :bounce1

Myke.

I'm sure every Tosser worth his salt would have done the same. There's no point wasting a good breakfast. :D :D

Sorry to hear the news Al. Glad you are ok ( relatively speaking ) Anything I can do to help? Get well soon.

Its great your ok Allan, you can only imagine the feeling we had aproaching the scene realising that one of you were down, Coreen was ill. You were not making sound and blood coming from your nose, then to our relief you started snoring but you were in an awful position with your head twisted.
The fact that your in relation to the accident your relatively unscaved and so is the bike.
Thq biggest casualty is Dick, i rode to the campsite and unloaded took David back to to ride the ktm, took about 2hrs cos of the traffic, all this time Dick sat in the sun, his ears are burnt feck:D

Sorry to hear of your off Allan.
Certainly brings you down with a bump, doesn't it?
Hope your wrist isn't so bad that you can't lift a pint pot,
but that's why straws were invented.:thumb
Speedy recovery big fella.
See you soon.
B1ff:beerjug:

Close shave there Alan:barf,

get straight back on that horse fella:thumb2.

Mind you if it was a GS all it would have had is a scratched rocker cover.

Glad your ok Al. If you had been on a GS you could have written the farmers truck off !!!

Nasty business, could have been much worse by all accounts, glad to hear you're relatively ok Allan-get well soon mate :beerjug:
