ouch!!!!!!! Thats gota hurt

Jesus... glad to hear that rumours of your demise appear to be greatly exaggerated....:thumb2

Big off yesterday on the way to the Hograost. Overtaking landy and trailer who decided to turn right up a gravel track, without indicating  Took me right out, dagged me along the road 30 meters. Knocked clean out, Dickieboy thought I was a gonner :(
Police came, no brake light offside and just didn't look. I shouldn't of gone to overtake I suppose, but checked the left one was clear and the right gravel track, so I thought it would be fine, seeing as I was out anyway with HIDs on, but no :comfort
Chipped bone in my right ankle, Have pot on :P Right Ribs and right wristy :comfort
Mel came and picked me up, and the boys rode the bike on to the Hogroast, Just an engine bar, indjamactors and plastics by all accounts. Rides like new :augie
Slimbo doing the repatration duties :bow:bow See, all that time in the AA, once a recovery man always a recovery :bow :D :bow

Flowers and choccies are welcome :D

glad to hear from you, I was at the Hog on Friday afternoon when the rest of your group turned up with the bad news :(

Bugger

Sorry to hear of your off - get well soon

Looking at the piccies, I think your chain needs tightening a bit!

this is a bit of a coincidence, having just read about allans encounter, I met someone today who t boned a 4*4 back at the end of march, 76 year old chap pulled out in front of him, broken arm, smacked up knee, collar bone, 3 months later he is still having treatment.
thing is, allan Big bird ( IIRC) and I were returningfrom agood days ride out in midwales, and we came upon this chaps accident ont he b4215 sennybridge to storey arms road and stopped to help!
if chap hadnt been talking about his off in the shop I would never have made the connection!
he is pretty pissed of with the driver as you can imagine, as the old fool is saying he cant be to blame because he didnt see the bike!
no actual witness so the police cant do him for due care...

They are out there.....:censor:

Was he ok then, heard from Mounters he broke his hip. Ouch
Bloody hell, I was lucky really as one witness thought I was dead :eek: Untill I started snorting blood out of me nose!
He is still amazed that I was still able to text him the same night, and how well the big KTM rode to the camp site :D At least someone can ride it eh :blast :D

Allan
he has a nice blue scar running from the top of his left upper arm down to the elbow where he was opened up to be pinned and plated, a knee that will need further arthroscopy to repair damage to anterioir cruciate ligaments, a sore shoulder (opposite side to the broken arm) from a collar bone break, but apart from that he's as good as new!!!:D

seriously tho, being self employed he could have done without the 3 weeks in morriston hospital ( altho the helicopter ride was an experience!) and the time in rehab learning to walk again.....but he had a go back to work as soon as....the lad from GT who we saw there apparently had given up biking as a result of what he saw of this bloke laying in the road in bits.

makes you realise how lucky you were to get off so lightly, if you know what I mean!

Leg out of plaster but still in a bracey thing for two weeks. Ribs still really sore but only when I cough or sneeze :blast
Bike in Mounters £3.8K  will chase up the insurance company Monday to get moving. Otherwise fine, work still paying me but have been in to help the office staff out, sheer boredom since the Tour De France has finished :D
Tell Coreen next time can she wash the cooker when she's finished cooking on it :D

Which leg is it Al? If it's your left leg it would have been from the impact, if it's the right one it would've been where he dragged you up the road! Those leather wellies you had on did there job though

£3.5k!! I thought it would be expensive but jeeeez:eek:

I did the cleaning Al:D that plate thing you have for cooking is great but what a twat to clean:D Coreen was injured, when I pulled up at the accident I didn't get the side stand down and the bike went over with her on the back:blast.....she has a scan on her knee sometime soon:augie

Me and Dick have a video of the crash site, once one of us work out how to shrink it we'll email it to you, either that or put it on a dongle.

Next year your riding bitch with Dick:D

Left leggy Doug, yep those Alpinestars are worth every penny (Got em 2nd hand of this very forum :augie) Hope Coreen's scan goes well. OBTW your supposed to put water around the edge of the lower plate :blast, had it for years £3

Cheers Stewart, your rear rack made it through unmarked, those BT boxes eh! :D
