Out and about in Tomintoul

Anyone planning on being out and about near to me tomorrow?

Hope to nip out for a wee while but doubt I'll be up that way. Off to Ben Alder cottage later so time is tight

Cracking morning though, 2 degrees but it'll warm up a wee bit

I'll probably leave it till it gets a little warmer too. My thermometer showing -1C at the moment but blue skies and sunny.

Up at 4.30, out at 5.15 on an early morning fox call out. 8 of us, 8 hounds and hopefully 1 fox got. 2 farmers have lost nearly 20 lambs between them over the last couple of weeks, at 90 quid each thats a lot......a cracking, if cold morning. Fresh snow on hills yesterday.

Off to Oban this pm, Lochboisdale tomorrow, Uists, Harris and Skye....hopefully not too damp!! Whatever...looking forward to it!

So no Tomintoul this weekend...

Good run to Oban on Friday, rain started 10 mins off the boat on S Uist, went to Eriskay then up via Benbecula to Berneray in rain, rain to Tarbert (hotel) rain next day to Stornoway, Callanish and Luskentyre, rain at Uig all the way via Quiraing and Staffin to Portree, Mon windy but dry to bridge, Glenmoriston, top of the Garry, better by Spean Bridge, cracking hurl by Laggan , onto A9 and home. Whisky to celebrate snooker.

Weather was fine in Tomintoul Sounds like you earned your dram.

Spean Bridge to Laggan, a cracking road. Stays good if you turn right for Dalwhinnie as you would have done
And the snooker was bloody good as well, enjoyed that
