Nice forecast, so an easy decision to try and keep off the A roads and on the B and less. Over the back roads towards the Dales:

Onto the A59 for 10 miles, to meet the convoys of shiny bikes out for their first run of the year. Hoped for a cuppa at Devils Bridge, but the queue was over 20 long :( burger that, keep on, head northwards for the Howgills and bypass the sportsbike rat run between the Devils Bridge and Sedburgh:

Thanks for the praise :)

Lucky to have good roads that are relatively clear of cars etc. The road up from Devils Bridge past Old Hutton, and is called the Old Scots Road, and then through Howgill is a real pleasure with great scenery.
