Ive just ordered a new GS. A red one - might as well have the best colour. I'm thinking of fitting Givi outback panniers and large top box. Anyone use these ? Are they any good ?
What other panniers are worth looking at all opinions sought, good or bad. :thumb2

I bought outback they are stunning.
I bought 58l top box, 48l and 37 litre panniers. They look amazing and they're massive plenty storage space. The top box holds 2 helmets. I've not ridden the bike with them yet hopefully I'll get out tomorrow.

That's the exact spec I was thinking of. Where did you get them ? Are they all keyed the same ?

Yeah they are all keyed the same I bought them from am ricambi in Italy. I paid €1200 that included frames , inner bag for the top box and back pad and delivery. If you watch the exchange rate they are a bargain.

Be sure there is someone in as the packaging is huge.

That sounds like a good deal compared to uk dealers. I talked to Givi uk and they told me i needed an obk4837a pack 2 kit, but when you talk to uk dealers they don't seem to know about it.
BTW. Pictures would be good

I'm about to order two 37litre GIVI Trekker outback boxes, the frame and the inner bags, been quoted around £750

Can anyone recommend a UK based supplier who is reasonable to deal with?

I might look like Goldfinger but I haven't got his money unfortunately.

As I've been looking around it seems the european sellers are cheaper

Try a company called nativeviking in Northumberland 01670 761961
They seem the cheapest about and worth a haggle 😉

Thanks Crashhat, I will give them a call.

I prefer to buy in UK if possible just in case there are any issues with damage etc I find it easier to resolve.

yeah thats the kit. I spoke to Givi UK at the bike show and the prices they quoted were very high (RRP as the dont sell direct)
The kit i bought was this one

If you can afford it its worth buying all the kit you need in one hit. I'm after the inner pannier bags now and UK prices are crazy.
I'll post some pics tomorrow of my set up.

who didi the delivery crash hat ?. and how did you pay ?

I paid via PayPal and they sent via courier service. They were delivered to my folks so not sure who done the uk leg now. They do provide tracking and it took about 4 days.

Can someone confirm if there is a front and back to these cases? I'm thinking of ordering the same set as Crashat (less top box) from the same site. I can't see an option for a right sided 37ltr or left sided 48ltr box. So are there locks at both ends, and can they swapped from side to side (while being spun 180degrees)?

No Ozz only locks at the back end but the lids can be taken off completely.you could swap the lids over but not sure why that's important !! Will not spin 180 !!

Hi crashhat. 3 questions for you about the panniers.
1. Is the 48ltr one for our near side.
2. Are the locks at the rear.
3. Can you open the panniers with the top box fitted as the box looks huge

A mate of mine got all the big burgers and as he found out he could not fully open the large right hand one so make sure you get the right ones
He has a 2010 Tc Gs
