Outlook contacts to Gmail

Is there a simple way to import Outlook contacts into Gmail contacts.

Every time I try to create a CSV file as instructed by MS help I end up with aen excel spreadsheet consisting of one box with everything squeezed into it.

Yes I am a numpty .....but there has got to be a better way than Bill Gates suggests.

Every time I try to create a CSV file as instructed by MS help I end up with aen excel spreadsheet consisting of one box with everything squeezed into it.

It will only be an Excel spreadsheet if you subsequently open it in Excel.

Otherwise it's just a CSV file, which is what you want. It only shows the Excel icon because that's the default application for opening CSV files on your PC.
