ok, over to the experts

I use outlook (full version, not express) and I use Hotmail as my main email address (have had it for years) now I thought I could set up outlook so all my hotmail emails went direct to my inbox.

oh no, it makes a new folder called inbox in hotmail.

I DONT WANT A NEW BOX, I WANT THEM IN THE MAIN BLOODY BOX

ok, calm thoughts...........................

anyone got any ideas?

cant even seem to forward them to my ISP email address (they can go in the main box, in fact it loves email from the ISP, have tried deleting accts and restarting but always with the bloody hotmail box)

There is not much you can do. I check the items in the "Hotmail Inbox" and delete as required - I simply select whatever is left and move them to the "Normal Inbox".
You'll need to actually click on the "Hotmail Junk Mail" folder from time to time as (at least with my setup) emails in there don't show up by default.

You can't apply Rules to HTTP accounts (at least you can't with Outlook 2003)

cheers clive, its as i thought, no sir, our accounts do not offer that functionality, although I can see why it would be desirable.................

gonna set up my own email acct through my webhost methinks

oh, and I still havent eaten all those ready meals!!
