Me again.
Next issue. Out for a fast blast this evening. When revs get to about 6000 plus the bike overrevs like I am slipping the clutch. In third gear this happened and bike overreved and then felt like the front came up a tiny bit when it stopped overreving. Over taking in fourth and fifth at same revs it seems to over rev. Speed does increase as well. Any ideas to my latest woe.

Slipping clutch. It will do it more in higher gears. First check the clutch lever isn't fouling on the hand guard stopping it releasing all the way. If OK then cause could be either wear or what happened to mine, contamination from a leaking seal.

The clutch fluid reservoir level rises as the clutch wears. If its too high the clutch wont close properly. You can either suck some out with a syringe or bleed some out at the slave cylinder.

How many miles on the bike and how has it been used?
Does the clutch judder on pulling away from standstill?
etc
etc

OK GSer friends. Thank you for reply's. I will look at reservoir. Bike has 18396 miles. No judder pulling away from standstill. I treat bike like supermotard. I would not thrash it though.
Hope this helps. Any idea what is safe level on clutch reservoir?
