Hi all. I am exporting my bike to the USA to ride west to east next year, but I'm having trouble finding a company that will insure me and the bike. Has anyone got any experience is insuring a bike in the US, and if so which company did you use?

Thread moved and title edited to include reference to USA specifically.

You could try Seguro Gringo. (Yes, really).
We used them back in 2019. Cost effective, third party only, we didn’t have to claim so can’t comment on that side of things.
They are in Mexico but happily covered UK registered bikes in North America.
USA, Canada and Mexico.

You could also ask MotoFreight for a shipping quote and any current info on insurance.

Thanks for that. I have been in contact with Seguro, and have been told that they have stopped insuring non US registered vehicles.

There used to be any number of insurers doing this but over the last few years they have got less and less which is one of the main reasons I no longer ship bikes out for trips.

Seguro Gringo were one of the last providers and I'm pretty certain they were still insuring bikes right up to this summer.

Let me make some enquiries for you through my contacts. (y)

Well, I was chatting to a pal of mine who is currently riding his UK registered bike in the US and he has his insurance with Seguro Gringo.

He arranged it a few weeks ago so unless they have stopped it in the last month or so, the OP should still be able to get insurance.

If not, ask you shipper if they have any contacts as they generally do.

Blimey!
Just did a quote, Anchorage in, NY out, for 30 days June `27 and it came out as $228.
Seems to make my "plans" a bit more real!

If you need a hand or a bit of advice for your Alaska and The Yukon portion of your trip let me know. (y)
