Low 6th gear
I also have an Adventure and having previously owned the standard 1150 (and an 1100),was also concerned about losing the `overdrive`gear. However having now ridden my Adventure throughout the UK and extensively in Europe - Prague and back last summer,i can say from experience that the shorter gear performs better all round. Not only with sustaining a higher cruising speed more easily but you can also accelerate faster, easier and therefore more safely with this set up.Re the vibe question again i have to say there seems to be no difference at all but maybe i`m just insensitive.Although i would also add that (imho) of the three GS`s owned the latest Adventure model is better finished, better looking and possibly due to the gearing, faster than my previous ones. Can`t wait to try the 1200!.
