"cor, that A27 is such a superb road" :tosser

For those that don't know the A27, it's mostly dual carriageway. :augie

twats!

just got back from goodwood and i had to filter pretty much the length of it back to cadnam, and then on to ringwood

the nearly traffic free run down there wasn't exactly a highlight of my riding career either.

On my way to Goodwood, I did about 7 miles on the A3 - must have seen a dozen sports bikes doing about a ton on what are basically straight roads. What is the point!!??

BTW Roy, did you see Billy Connolly? He was walking by just after we parted. He stopped and admired my KTM :D

Hi Mike

How to get to Goodwood without touching the new A3 from a fellow Headley-ite

Go to Liphook via Passfield
Go through Liphook on the old A3 and as you enter Rake turn left opp. The Flying Bull. Stay on that road.
At Rogate cross the A272
Go through Nyewood to South Harting
Over the downs
get to the A286, turn right
In Lavant go round the first 90º that goes round the church, but at the second bend, take the little slip road road off to the left at the apex of the bend, so you have the cricket pitch on your right
At the T-junction turn left, then first right.
This will bring you onto Lavant straight and Goodwod circuit will be on your right.
It's a nice country road and you will avoid ALL of the A3 which is a very good thing.
I rarely use the A3 if I can help it; If Mr Rep or the high end vehicle with 5 bicycles strapped to across the back, (so you can't see their brake lights and they CERTAINLY can't see you), don't get you, you have to put up with the Sunday Day-Glo Power Rangers who can't afford track days.

Robin

Cross the A272, do NOT go down it. Especially on summer weekends when the Sunday Day-Glo Power Rangers are playing 'knees down'

erm last time I looked the A27's got speed cameras on it? which can hinder speed tests to approximatley 70mph:augie
